No deal on newly revived efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare is expected to occur this week before lawmakers head home for a two-week recess. It was just acknowledged that there is no agreement, and House lawmakers said they’re not changing their travel plans to leave on Thursday. After a series of closed door meetings to amend the health care bill to spark its revival this week, it looked as if a vote could have happened in the House again this week. But that early-week optimism has now been decimated. Freedom Caucus members stated today that they won’t make any decisions on the amended bill until the actual legislative language is put on the table.
